TRES MINIATURAS
for solo piano (1988 - 1990)

The first work composed by the composer, while still frequented piano studies at the National Art School under the tutelage of master Andres Alen. Three short simple character pieces for piano teaching for children and adolescents. These pieces are facing technical aspects typical of the early years of study of the instrument. The first, "Reflection" is inspired by The Little Book of Anna Magdalena Bach, simple piece, allegra, polyphonic character. The second, "Cantilena" cantabile slow, expressive and melodic. The third, "Guajira", dance feature, allegra, popular character. This work, available to teachers and students proposing the extension of the educational experience inside and outside the context scholastic, with an open view of other cultures and traditions.

for flute, oboe and clarinet (1994)

Composed by five miniatures (little, ring, middle, index and thumb finger) and inspired in the structural and gesture synthesis of Bartok’s mikrokosmos. It invites the young musician to think about the phrases and nuances that characterized the timbre of the wood wind instruments by means of simple melodies, syncopated rhythms, articulations and contrasting dynamics. The aim of this work is to enrich the chamber repertory to underline the significance of the ensemble music in the technical and instrumental training of the pupil on his first years of study.
MARIPOSEANDO
for flute and violin (2004)

Simple piece of easy performance for recorder and violin. Addressed to children and teenagers, it is mainly didactic. It helps the acquisition of technical capacities. The piece combines melodies in counterpoint, long notes for the use of the arch and melodic and rhythmic motives that help the execution and the performance of chamber music.
MARIPOSA
for xylophone solo (1995)

Simple piece of easy performance for xylophone. It helps the enrichment of the interpretive repertoire of the pupil in the first years of study. It has a wide range of technical elements such as arpeggios, scales, simple intervals, tonal melodic turns, contrastive dynamics, giving the student the possibility of a more complete learning of the instrument.
